Fishes! An illustrated history, part 2

We're done cycling! Here are our first fish: two oto cats! As you can see, we had a pretty bad algae problem by this point, so they had a lot to eat.

Here's our slate rock...it's pretty much covered in algae. Luckily, we also got a snail.

A few days later, the rock is completely clear of algae, as is most of the gravel.

For Valentine's Day we went up to Aqua Forest and Ocean Aquarium up in SF (very pretty stores). We got sand, one-leafed "Four Leaf Clovers" (small plants front center), dwarf hairgrass (the grassy thing on the left), and fuzzy stalk plants (back). We also put in a blanched zucchini for the otos and the snail, since the algae is mostly gone. It was a lovely Valentine's Day.
